In development – built for home buyers

Take better notes when touring homes.

HomeShopper Notes is a simple tool that helps you document what you see during showings – room by room, with photos and plain-English descriptions – so you can remember details later and optionally share them with a certified home inspector.

Note: HomeShopper Notes does not replace a certified home inspection. It simply helps you collect and organize your own observations.

What is HomeShopper Notes?

HomeShopper Notes is being built to help home buyers stay organized while they’re out looking at properties. Instead of scribbling on paper or trying to match photos to each house later, you’ll have a simple, structured place to record what you see.

For each home, you’ll be able to:

  • Create a notes profile for each property you visit
  • Add room-by-room observations in plain English
  • Attach photos right where they belong in your notes
  • Use pre-built narratives to quickly describe common conditions
  • Later choose to share your notes with a certified home inspector for their opinion

Built for the way buyers actually tour homes

  • ✔️ Works room-by-room: exterior, roof, kitchen, baths, bedrooms, garage, systems, and more.
  • ✔️ Uses everyday language instead of technical jargon.
  • ✔️ Helps you remember what to ask about later, without trying to diagnose issues yourself.
  • ✔️ Designed to pair with the upcoming HomeShopper app at homeshopper.app.

Important: HomeShopper Notes provides tools for documenting what you observe as a buyer. It does not perform or replace a professional home inspection.

How it will work

Step 1

Tour the home

Open HomeShopper on your phone while you're at the property. Select the rooms and areas you want to walk through: exterior, roof (from the ground), kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, garage, and more.

Step 2

Capture your notes

Type quick notes, attach photos, and use pre-built narratives to describe what you see in everyday language.

You’re not diagnosing problems – you’re simply recording what you notice so you can remember and ask good questions later.

Step 3

Optionally share with an inspector

After your visit, you’ll be able to export your notes as a clear “HomeShopper Notes Report.”

You’ll have the option to share that report with a certified home inspector, who can provide an opinion based on your notes and photos. Their feedback does not replace a full home inspection, but can help you decide what to follow up on.

For home buyers

Touring multiple homes can make details blur together. HomeShopper Notes helps you:

  • Keep notes for each property in one place
  • Link your photos to the right rooms and areas
  • Remember items you want to ask about later
  • Feel more organized when it’s time to make a decision

For home inspectors

Over time, we plan for HomeShopper Notes to make it easier for inspectors to:

  • Offer limited-scope opinions based on buyer-provided notes and photos
  • Highlight which homes may warrant a full inspection
  • Help buyers understand which observations may need professional evaluation

Final features and workflows for professional inspectors are still being developed.
